What needed to be solved
Road & Story wanted complex bookings to feel simple and inspiring.
Many suppliers: Flights, hotels, and experiences came from separate providers with different data formats.
Booking and content apart: inspiring stories and the booking flow lived in different places, so visitors dropped off.
Speed: rich images, maps, and content had to load fast on mobile.
One booking flow: flight and hotel booking integration plus experiences, paid securely through Stripe
Stories that sell: editors publish destination guides through the CMS, each linked to bookable trips.
Interactive travel maps: Mapbox maps help travelers explore routes and places.
